Inspired by Olympic Gold Medalist Kim Yuna, Danika stepped on the ice at the age of nine. Over the past decade, she has pursued her passion for competitive figure skating, and has gotten experience in both regional and sectional level competitions. Driven to win, Danika always persisted to work hard not only in her training, but also in her non-training environments. She is an undergraduate at the University of Washington and working towards a degree in graphic design.
Danika aspires to dive into the realm of coaching, inspired by her coaches Mari, Nani, and Stella. She joined the Professional Skaters Association in the summer of 2020. By helping other skaters to grow in the sport and pursue their dreams just as she did, Danika wants to be a part of their skating journey. Her love for skating is everlasting, and she hopes to share that with her students. An incredible performer herself, Danika hopes to inspire creativity and freedom of expression through skating. Coaching is yet another means of deepening her passion for the sport. She is excited to embark upon this next chapter of her skating career.
